ECM J/S ratio (SSJ)

FREE
For Electronic Counter Measures (ECM), this app is used to determine the jammer-to-signal (J/S) ratio. For a tracking radar, enter the power in kW, antenna gain in dB, and IF bandwidth in MHz. Then enter the aircraft cross sectional area in m^2...

Astable 555 Timer

FREE
Adding a second resistor Rb to the 555 timer and connecting the trigger input to the threshold input causes the timer to self-trigger and run as a multivibrator. The capacitor C will charge through Ra & Rb and discharge through Rb only. The duty...

Radar Range Equation

FREE
This app is for finding maximum range for detecting a target using the Radar Range Equation for a pulsed radar when the user enters the operating frequency of the radar in GHz, the antenna gain in dB, the transmitter power in kW (pulse power), the...

TDMA in Fixed Station Network

FREE
This app is used to determine the number of voice channels that each earth station TDMA can transmit as well as the transmission rate if the earth stations send data rather than digital speech. The data burst duration (Td) for each earth station...

Equivalent Noise Temperature

FREE
To determine the noise figure (NF) of a device use the relationship NF= (S/N)in/(S/N)out. Then in order to find the noise temperature use Td = To*(NF - 1) where To is the reference temperature (usually 290 K). The noise figure NF is given in dB but...

System Noise Temperature

FREE
This is the noise model of a receiving antenna, where all of the noisy units have been replaced by one noiseless amplifier with a single noise source Ts as its input. Calculate the system noise temperature Ts after entering Tin (noise temperature of...
